[4-24-05]
Another spontaneously composed
song from an April 2005 rehearsal.
Carl reminded me of
this one recently so I fished around for the tape and here it is.
Shit On My Door
[8-7-05]
Another version of the rock classic, with the kickass second section that is missing from the 8-12-05 (bootlegs Volume 2) version. Enjoy!
The Rat Song
[9-16-05]
This is a really “polished” version of the Rat Song we played in preparation for its inclusion on our Sept. 22, 2005 set at the Black Forest. In retrospect, I see The Rat Song as having inaugurated a cycle of songs on animal-related themes, and for this I am eternally grateful.
Snap Out Of It
[9-16-05]
This is a pretty damn good take of one of our most exciting new songs. Cutting edge shit—I even left a false start on the beginning of the track because it is so true to the energy and mood of the take.
Awesome Jam
[9-16-05]
Energy levels were riding high this particular evening, about a week before our Autumn Equinox 2005 show at the Black Forest. This improvisation lives up to its title.
[9-16-05]
This song featured prominently in our religious-themed performances of summer 2005. Where else do you find theology, animals, and triple penetration all in one place?
[10-14-05]
Wow! This was another one of those rehearsal nights where we were really on fire. Quite simply, on the energetic level, this is the greatest version of Country Bob I’ve ever heard.
[10-14-05]
Along with the version that we played live at the Black Forest on Oct. 20, 2005, this is the finest take of Whale Sex I can recall playing.
